As is with the custom of MCIto keep working towards strengthening the Islamic identity of it students, the college organizes annual Umrah (lesser Hajj) trips for students to partake in.
For this season’s trip,a total of thirteen students signed up for the trip and they were accompanied by two members of staff, who helped the students in making real life connections between what they have learnt inside the classroom (and around the school) and the trip’s numerous locations.
The Umrah trip, which spanned for approximately 12 days, was truly a remarkable spiritual experience for all the students who attended the journey to our beloved Madinah and Makkah. It was a much-anticipated trip for our students and Alhamdulillah it was a phenomenal success. The responsibility, esteem and maturity displayed by our students was admirable.
The students experienced 4 nights in Madinah Al Munawara and 7 nights in Makkah Al Mukarramah. They completed the Umrah rites on the 1stday in Makkah, and used the rest of the days for constant worship in the Holy Mosque.
During the trip, Students also embarked on educational tours to Mount Uhud, Masjid Al-Qiblatain,all the significant Hajj sites including Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina, etc.and they climbed Mount Noor. The trip greatly influenced the lives of the students, as they returned with significant goals for personal improvement and acquirement of Islamic knowledge, especially after reaffirming their beliefs through the various learning experiences from the spiritual journey. May Allah accept their pilgrimage and bless all the knowledge gained, ameen.
Below are some moments from the remarkable trip…
