This year’s Umrah/Educational trip had a total of 10 students, accompanied by two members of staff who served as chaperones. The entire trip lasted for approximately 12 days.
The journey started with a brief stop in the city of a thousand minarets (Cairo, Egypt) where students had the opportunity to tour and learn more about the historical happenings and characteristics of the ancient city.
The team then advanced to the Holy City of Madinah where they spent four days and nights connecting with Allah through numerous supplications and forms of ibadah.
On the 1st day of January 2020, the team arrived Makkah and immediately performed the umrah rites.
Students also embarked on educational tours (visists) to Mount Uhud, Masjid Al-Qiblatain, Masjid Al-Quba, Sab’u Masajid, and all the significant Hajj sites including Arafat, Muzdalifah, Mina, etc.
This year’s trip was certainly more eventful and knowledge-filled than the last – Alhamdulillah. As is with the custom of MCI, we continue to work towards strengthening the Islamic identity of our students. May Allah accept the pilgrimage and bless all the knowledge gained, ameen.
