MEDMINA COLLEGE WINS COMMONWEALTH ESSAY GOLD
Another record has been set as students of Medmina College clinched gold and bronze medals in the 2014 Commonwealth Essay Competition in the junior category. Out of all the secondary schools that participated in Nigeria, only eleven secondary schools won laurels in the junior category and proudly, our own Medmina won GOLD through ADIGUN MARIAM and BRONZE through SHAKIRAH AYANLOYE. CONGRATULATIONS !
MEDMINA SECOND TERM DEBATE
The College debate for the second term was held on Wednesday, 2nd of March, 2016. The contest was organised for senior classes, that is SS1 & SS2 on the topic ” The Use of Cane is a good Corrective Measure in Schools.”
Students in the Senior classes were mixed together and formed in to two groups – 1 and 2.
It was a great and a keenly contested debate. In the end, group one had the day.
THE SECOND TERM SPELLING COMPETITION
The second term spelling competition “spelling Bee” came up on the 4th March, 2016.
The contest had every students in all class levels. The competition went through three stages of preliminary, second round and third stage. The third stage had finalists from each of JSS2, JSS3 & SS2, at this stage the duo of JSS1 & SS1 had crashed out of the contest.
At the end of the contest, a winner emerged from each of the classes. In JSS 2 Fariah Lawal won the contest, in JSS 3, Adesina Abdulmalik had the day and in SS2, Mustapha Hauwa came top.
