Alhamdulillah!
The Interhouse sports competition for the year 2020 came to an end on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, after what has been a most eventful series of events.
At the end of all events, Usman Fatimah House (Green) finished with 73 points, Abubakar Aminah House (Blue) with 90 points, Umar Khadijah House (Red) with 115 points, and Alli Aisha House (Yellow) with 100 points. Umar Khadijah House (Red) was therefore crowned as The new Interhouse sports champions, for the first time in the history of the College.
The grand finale also saw staff participate in races, as well as an entertainment football match between teachers in Science dept and teachers in Arts/Commercial dept, which saw the Arts/Commercial team win by 4 goals to 3 of the science team.
Finally, the boys extended their record lead in the tug of war after they effortlessly pulled the female team over the line to win the duel.
Even though both staff and students were very exhausted after the activities, there was still room for plenty of hugs and felicitations to one another, as we all consider ourselves winners in one way or the other.
May Allah put barakah in this year’s event, and may He make the coming one more successful, Ameen.
